Georgia

Following the humanitarian aid we provided in Georgia during the 2008 Russian-Georgian conflict, we prepared and implemented several training programs for women and men who had to flee their homes to escape the war. The aim of the practical training was to provide them with alternative income opportunities in a new location – courses in jewellery making, sewing or tiling provided them with a livelihood after the loss of the original income opportunities they had in their homes.

In 2010, we also conducted trainings for 75 men and women interested in small business. The trainees learned how to develop a business plan and gained the skills necessary to manage a small business.
